I recently found myself in meditation, completely unfocused. The lack of clarity and manifestation was evident, so I thought meditation would help. I was doing everything in my power to bring myself to center and it just wouldn’t work. Every a tiny sound was magnified and the “to do” list in my brain was overflowing. How could I possibly focus on my “inner self” if I kept focusing on everything else?
Then I heard, “Today I focus on what I want to attract into my life” spoken by Deepak Chopra. This realization also brought up the simple theory of manifestation and that just because we can’t see something in the now, doesn’t mean it is not out there for the taking.
Embracing the lightbulb that just went on in my head, I was pretty eager to finish up meditation. The ideas were flowing throughout my brain like a high speed chase. Seriously, we have the right to dream for whatever we want or need. The idea behind this is manifestation. By manifesting our aspirations, dreams, and goals; we are putting it out into the universe for good return. We have officially opened up to the idea that it is possible. Deepak Chopra is right, you should be manifesting abundance so you are working with unlimited potential.
After understanding there is unlimited potential waiting on us, what can we do to adapt? I have always loved creating vision boards. I shared my digital version in my last blog. (You should check it out if you haven’t!) However, when I found myself waiting to create my tangible board, I became stumped. I wanted this year to be different. It deserved to be different after all the shit we have been through. So I decided to let there be room for GROWTH.
For me personally, growth = permission to manifest.
My vision board developed into a work of art over a “to do” list. I chose things that resonated with me such as color and affirmations. When you see something that reminds you of this unlimited potential, it changes things. It changes you. Your brain starts believing that just maybe these things don’t have to be dreams, but they can be your new reality.
Digging deep into our spirit will provide us an opportunity to find that permission to live right now, in the moment. It will give us a roadmap of potential places we can travel to. Embracing what you manifest to be true and believing it with every bone in your body; that is what vision boards should be made of.
When I look at my newly created masterpiece, I will be reminded of my adaptive beliefs, affirmations, and comforted by the space that was left open for GROWTH.
